Reviewed on April 2nd, 2021. Picked up a to go order here for dinner. I hadn't been here since the pandemic rolled in and was doubtful about how good the traditional dine in experience and food would be if taken to go. Ordering was easy online and a 45 minute wait during peak dinner hours before my pickup was ready. Very acceptable for a Friday evening in South Reno. The order was exactly as requested and on time. The food was top notch and everyone was very happy at home with their meals. Great job Genghis Grill!

What a nice place to eat with great food and delicious choices. Choose a bowl size with rice, or noodles, and then head to a buffet loaded with fresh ingredients, such as, a wide array of raw meats. Once you have chosen your proteins, then pick from spices, veggies, and sauces to make your perfect bowl. When you are finished, they will grill it up on a huge grill and serve it to you over your rice or noodles. It is a neat place to bring a date, family, or friends. I highly recommend it to anyone!
I really wanted to make this a 5 star review. I love this restaurant. my boyfriend and I had gone for my birthday at the end of January of 2021 to celebrate and the entire experience was amazing. Our waitress went out of her way to make it a good visit for my birthday and the owner even got involved. Because of that experience I decided to go back to celebrate my boyfriends birthday as well and where as the food was great the staff was not. I spent over an hour there and our waitress (Carmen) came by maybe 2 times after we got our food and then went out of her way to avoid our table. She generally seemed fed up with being there. I had to get up to attempt to pay the bill and when she started to try to walk by again until I made it obvious I wanted to pay. I ended up leaving a 1 dollar tip but also tipped the chef's because they did the fire on the grill for my boyfriend. As I was leaving the waitress asked if I wanted to take the dollar I left and I told her that was her tip and as she turned away she thanked me for the tip with attitude and sass. I know this is typically not how it goes because this is the first time I've encountered bad service but I was very disappointed in it and just wanted to give my boyfriend a good experience like I had for my birthday.
Food was good. But 16.00 for a large bowl is quite expensive. Even the largest bowl is way too small to hold enough proteins and vegs.
Food was delicious but we placed an order for pick up and waited an additional 45 minutes in store. One of the bowls was missed and then forgotten about AGAIN. They did comp us some pot stickers but I recommend just going in and ordering yourself if you're in a hurry.
Great service today! All the employees were super friendly. The food was so delicious! Definitely recommend.
This place is pretty good. Love to make a custom bowl myself and grab pot stickers. They have a ton of protein options and sauces to choose from. Lots of liquor and drink choices. I get a two option bowl with half fried rice/udon noodles, soo yummy.
It's our new spot! We have been coming at least once a week for awhile now. Great service! Love the food!
