We have used JJ Basement and Yard for multiple projects to help drainage around our home. But our latest big project really showed how amazing they are! Our downspout lines were causing issues with water pooling and grass unable to grow. JJ extended one line and out in another. It has made all the difference in our yard. We finally have grass! They also cleared out under our deck, graded and laid rock to help move water away from our foundation. But the best thing they did was build a beautiful patio. They took their time and created an amazing space. One of the best things about this company is that they take care of your home as they work and they leave the space as if they were never there. The owner, Juan Jose is very easy to work with and his crew is equally as wonderful. They very nicely answered all my silly questions while on site.

Neighbors on both sides of us used JJ Basements and Yards for various projects. We saw from their experience that the work was really well done. We needed drainage work done which required digging under existing loose (dry) stack, laying drainage pipe, and re-stacking the hardscape. Then the drain pipes were extended another 150 feet to the end of the property. What really stuck out is the crew. The crew works diligently, quietly, and cleanly. Except for times when they are running equipment, you barely notice that the crew are there. And when digging, they carefully took up grass and were able to put it down like sod after laying drain pipes. They also cleaned up every day and properly hauled away any debris. The price, the quality of work, and the crew members are exceptional.
We had JJ basement come and assess our water drainage issues around the perimeter of the house. Juan provided me with a detailed solution to the problem at a very reasonable price point. I was most impressed by the diligence of the crew in ensuring everything was in order both during and after the project. Juan and the crew clearly communicated the work progress with me; highlighting things I should pay attention to. I am very satisfied with the work done and the professionalism displayed.
We have used JJ Basement & Yard twice and we are so very happy with the work they did. The first time we used JJ the team worked to ensure that the flow of the water was away from the front of our house. So, they created a drain system and then they slated in our front walk. It is so beautiful! And, it is so functional because our sump-pumps that used to run all the time are not running as much now. The second time we tackled a much bigger project. We decided to hard-scape in our back yard. Once again, JJ's team took great care to ensure that the flow of water went away from our house. They extended our small patio to fill our back yard. They then slated all of the new space. Each stone was measured and leveled. So much care was taken to create the space. They took the care in all of the finishing touches. JJ Basements & Yards does beautiful work that is carefully designed and executed to improve drainage of water to make spaces more functional.
JJ came recommended from many in our neighborhood. We got estimates from 3-4 contractors. We chose JJ due to their detailed plans, responsiveness, thoughtfulness and the crew executed very professionally. Len is the architect, is very responsive, detailed and worked with us on options to solve our water drainage/pooling “bird bath”/mosquito breading ground issues and extend our patio/living area. José Juan is the owner and his family are the crew. José Juan wants to always do things right and safe, even thinking about our daughters safety. Likewise, he has answered all my questions and concerns. We love our extended patio and have been very happy also with the drainage solution. We have already engaged with them on a second project.
