Waited over FOUR hours in the waiting room to see a doctor...while their sign showed a \7-minute\ wait time. When we arrived there was only one other person waiting. In the span of 4 hours, over 30 people have entered and are now awaiting service. Before this experience, this was my go to hospital when other area hospitals were overwhelmed with patients. Not any more!!! Unlike the very clean and attentive staff at Richmond Community Hospital, this hospital is not handling the influx of COVID and non-COVID ER patients very well. There is no one wiping down the seats after people rotate through the ER nor do they wipe down the triage chairs and desks between patients. Based on what I observed while waiting over 4 hours to see a physician, hospitals may be the other reason, COVID cannot be controlled.

Went there 2/8/2020 and was completely satisfied with the treatment I received. The doctor and nurses were extremely competent and professional. Doctor Angeli had extremely good beside manners and explained my diagnosis to me. The nurse, Jess, was extremely efficient and helpful. My CUDOS to the entire staff.

Not sure why the previous reviews were negative. The emergency room is just that for emergencies. Otherwise, it's considered Urgent Care. When you go into the emergency room please don't think that they can't see your history from other hospitals. The ER docs and nurses can pull all of your past hospital visits and history. Has can all other hospitals in the area. Although they do rely on past medical history from your account, they can request past medical history, prescriptions, and treatment history from all area hospitals. I personally think it's a wonderful emergency room and the one time that I had a true emergency, my family was treated with the utmost respect. At that time, I did learn that there is no pediatric Ward or neonatal Ward, and if there happened to be a emergent cardiac issue that a patient would be transferred to Forest Henrico Doctors Hospital.

I am here right now with my fiance and she was just taken to a room after being here since she woke up this morning at 11:00am and the nurse is saying there no order to feed her or to take a shower ,she has a infection and need to get some antibiotics in here and is on a 48 hour hold to make sure it does get better
