Had a fantastic time renting kayaks at Alder Creek’s Ridgefield location. There is some roadwork near the marina, but location was still easy to find. Staff were very helpful. Alder Creek will provide kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. I like the Ridgefield location very much because in the section where we kayaked there were no motor boats or jet skis. I have also rented at the George Rogers Park location which has much more river traffic. If you are looking for something to do outside that is very safe I recommend renting kayaks.

Great people, prices, and kayaks. If you ever need a quick getaway from the busy life, rent a single or tandem kayak for a few hours and paddle up or down Lake River. If you go south you'll float into Vancouver Lake. If you go north you'll end up in the Columbia River.

Can I just say the young men running the boat house for these Kayak rental where an absolute joy! I've never kayaked before and had fears getting in the boat, but the setup was amazing. They were so helpful and reassured me along the way. Incredibly helpful. Very smooth process! Would highly recommend just for the service alone! Thanks for a fun day on the water! This is for the Ridgefield location in WA

Beautiful paddling, great gear, excellent staff. Took a class and loved it so much we went to their retail shop (AlderCreek at Jantzen Beach) and bought our own!

We did a tour with Linda today and had a great time. We were the only ones on the water, and we went at a nice leisurely pace to enjoy the eagles, great blue herons, sandhill cranes and more. Linda shared some history of the area and tips for other kayaking adventures nearby. I highly recommend checking them out when they open back up in the spring. (PS...good COVID protocols in place. No worries there.)
