When on a trip, our family is a sucker for a comic book store. We checked our Van’s and found a lot more than just books! They’ve got cards, games, and comics, plus a huge area that is dedicated to card tournaments and Dungeons and Dragons. Clean, spacious, friendly staff. You’ll be glad you checked out Van’s!

A clean comic book and gaming store. I can't speak to the gaming, but it did seem like there was a broad selection of cards and figures for gaming, as well as several boxed games for sale. And on the weekend I visited, there was a fun and excited vibe from the gamers who were there playing. Comic books were also available, focused mainly along one side. I was impressed to see a table up front with recommended \staff picks\ trade paperback and hardcover books appealing to superhero and independent comic readers, and readers of all age groups. While not as extensive as I would like, there was a nice selection of recently released and older collected editions on the comics wall. I like that the collections were arranged above the new single issues shelves, as that encourages browsing of both formats. Lastly, the back issues section was a delight for my personal browsing style. Drawers and bins, neatly arranged in the back room, were organized somewhat alphabetically. So Action Comics issues were near Amazing Spider-Man, etc., but books from all eras and publishers were mixed together. This made digging through the rows of comics fun and surprising. I was not as happy about the pricing procedure (priced individually before checkout), as that can sometimes be where stores rely only on eBay recent sales for their pricing, but I feel the prices ended up being fair for the comics I purchased. I get that it prevents them from missing spikes in prices for certain issues, but it did slow the transaction down. In general though, I do love the process of digging and finding great back issues. I found a few on my wishlist and a few fun surprises as well. Worth visiting regularly to find random issues or fill gaps in runs.

I love this place! They are super friendly and extremely helpful! They sell board games, comics, and paints for miniatures. We come in for the board games. They have a pretty good selection, and if they don't have it, they can order it. They are also really knowledgeable on all kinds of games, so they can give you suggestions based off of your preferences. It's a great place. Also they do boards game nights where you can come meet up and play with other local gamers.
