It is not a rustic campground. Good for Rvs, and people who do not worry about privacy. Good tubing, kayaking, and prices at the convenient shop. There is even a game room and small laundry facility. Electric at each site, close set sites, some sites with fantastic spots on the river. The people are good people. We lucked out with an end site that had the only forest surrounding!

We visited to rent their kayaks and cruise the Muskegon River... Best idea ever! So much fun!

When we went kayaking we were told the get off would have at least two signs with the name of the campground and that we couldn't miss it. There was one small sign that said RCC. We stopped and looked at it, but seeing that it had been 1) 30 minutes closer to the bridge than we were told, 2) no signs with the full campground name, 3) no telltale red van to pick up the kayaks, our group of nine fully sober adults decided it didn't fit the description we were given and kept going. We were then stuck on the river another 2 hours, if not for some very friendly inhabitants along the river I really don't know what we'd have done. We were directed to another landing and a very kind party of people called the campground to pick us up. They charged us an extra 100 dollars, not a big problem, we did use their equipment for an extra 2 hours and made them pick us up, but they were very condescending about the whole ordeal. We were told \what else would rcc stand for?\ Not being from around here (thus, you know, using a campground) we didn't know, there could be any sort of places with those initials. \We told you it's the only campsite.\ No you didn't, we were listening, we asked for the directions in the first place. We were eventually accused of lying and ot knowing how to read.\ Thankfully due to the directions of the lovely river inhabitants we now know the way to the public water access, where we can float all the way to our uncle's house on future visits. Did we make a mistake? Yes. Were we willing to pay for it? Absolutely, and we did, in both money and sunburn. Were we given proper instruction? I don't believe so. Nor do I think you have any right to accuse nine perfectly rational adults of not knowing how to read when your sign only has 3 letters.

We are avid campers and travel often...was looking forward to staying here on our travels. Called to reserve a spot and had to turn around and cancel litterly 4 to 5 minutes later due to a family emergency! The young girl stated because it was a Friday no refunds could be made. I explained how sorry I was and that I understand last minute cancelations cant be made on weekends...but we had JUST reserved the spot, so it wasnt like anyone was turned away due to us reserving for 5 minutes. I asked to talk to the owner, she took my number and said they would call me. No one ever called! VERY UNHAPPY with the customer service and plain rudness of not even calling me back! Yes we're only out 35.00, but u are now out a customer and I will never stay there, nor will I ever recommend your campground to anyone!
