The menu led by Executive Chef, Cedric Harden features contemporary American tavern fare with dramatic presentations of whole roasted chicken, whole roasted fish and slow roasted beef; all carved tableside. The food is handcrafted, yet rustic, with many plates designed for sharing. The bar offers a large selection of local beer, craft cocktails, beer, and wine. With one of the best patios in Chicago, River Roast is a great place to enjoy dining outside on a hot summer afternoon or a crisp fall evening. River Roast Private Events offers six spaces, all with spectacular views, for parties from 10 to 1,000. Saturday and Sunday features our Blues and Brews Brunch with live Chicago Blues Musicians performing from 12PM-3PM. We are open daily for lunch and dinner.

We had a great time celebrating our daughter’s birthday and enjoying the amazing view! The abundance of patio heaters, evergreen trees and string lighting made for a very cozy and inviting atmosphere. The service was great and the distancing guidelines were in full effect. All of us enjoyed our entrees and would highly recommend the Mushroom Toast, Mac & Cheese, Roast Beef, and Chicken Pot Pie. They even brought out a huge slice chocolate birthday cake for my daughter! Very special!!

Incredibly nice location with great food, service and live music. I really enjoyed the server's suggestions and the perfect river views. You just can't be there enough to absorb the vibe of the city. The food was very tasty and made.with fresh ingredients. I will definitely visit again next time i am in Chicago.
