I first started my search for a roaster back in March of 2020 when my wife and I decided to take my roasting hobby and turn it into a side business. I reached out to Shane with RK Drums and he went way out of his way to help me out. I went full throttle and got the 12lb roaster and am so happy I did. We are now going on 10 months in business. All the support and video's set me up for success as a novice roaster. I have now put close to 2,000 lbs of beans through the drum and it is running strong. The roasting process is easy (with a little work), the final product is outstanding, and the service from everyone at RK Drums is 1st class. I highly recommend RK Drums to anyone looking for a roaster.

I bought an 8 lb drum kit from RK Drums in 2013. That year we launched Upcountry Coffee Company with our RK drums roaster. From June 2013-June 2018 we roasted over 10 tons of coffee in it for the commercial market in Accra Ghana! We finally retired it in December 2018 for a larger commercial roaster. Great product. Great Experience.
I had been considering purchasing a bigger roaster for several months and stumbled across some recommendations for RK Drums. The videos and Shane's very prompt replies to my questions convinced me to order my roasting drum. The drum was finished in the expected time and Shane spent time to give an overview of the roasting process and answer any questions. The drum was very solid and very good quality. After ordering the drum, I had watched the assembly videos, so there were no surprises when it came to selecting the grill, modifying it and installing the drum, the motor and related brackets. I had previously only used a small stove-top roaster, so roasting with a much larger drum was initially intimidating. Fortunately, the videos for roasting have been very helpful while I'm still learning and improving my roasts. I'd definitely recommend purchasing a drum from RK Drums and wouldn't hesitate to order an additional drum from them.

Although I only purchased the heavy-duty steel rotisserie bearings & bracket for use on a previously purchased drum, these bearings are GREAT! The whole ordering experience from start to finish was great, too. RK Drums will definitely be my choice when I am able to expand my roasting to bigger levels. Thanks guys.
Shane is the man! You cannot ask for better customer service than what RK Drums provides. Every question I had was promptly and thoroughly answered by Shane. He is super knowledgeable when it comes coffee roasting and he is more than willing to share his expertise and insight. I have yet to build my roaster yet but every piece of equipment provided by RK Drums is in great condition. I have no doubt that with RK Drums equipment and customer service that I will be roasting some delicious coffee in no time! If you are looking to get into home coffee roasting or want to increase your production, I highly highly recommend going with Shane and RK Drums!

RK Drums was recommended by a friend and I'm grateful I followed the advice. The equipment has been performing very well and the coffee results are impressive!
