The skatepark is amazing! Nice quarterpipes, roll-ins, a hump, 3 boxes, and a rail. Landed my first 180 (on a scooter) at this park! Great for experienced skaters! Although the ground is semi beat up by the 7 foot quarterpipe, this is a phenomenal skatepark!
Clean area. Fun place to be. Good for all ages. Playground nearby.
Grew up skating here. It's got a little bit of everything, except stairs, which you can find across the street at a spot. If it's hot, beware, skatelite is a smooth ride, but it heats up.
Not a bad skatepark. I don't skate there, but I search everywhere within 40 miles of Dekalb looking for places to run RC's. I only run at the skate parks when kids aren't around, which is usually early morning or in the middle of a hot day. While this place isn't great for RC's, skaters seem to have a good time there. Until it gets hot. It's amongst the trees, but not shaded much by them, probably good to avoid sticks and whatnot, but the surface of the ramp faces gets ridiculously hot. The floor of the skate park is just a slab coated with a waxy feeling paint. Good for skaters, not good for RC's. I get very little grip there with my revo, but I'll still run a pack or two before I get bored.
