The car show & BBQ was fantastic. We toured the property & loved all the features. The rope bridge, the dome, the pavilion, and the creek. We definitely want to visit again.

This place is great. Very spacious. I went for the Lights Festival and it was perfect. The area was very open and easily, a couple thousand people could fit. It was awesome because it rained (not a lot of space for cover) and we saw a rainbow! I will say, the parking situation was particularly bad but maybe that was the directors of traffic..but I was stuck waiting to get waived through for literally 20 minutes because we weren’t on one of the ‘main roads’

Rockdale light show at Apache pasture. This is an annual event with live music, attractions for kids of all ages, and culminating at dusk in the launching of lanterns that float high into the sky - probably thousands of them. Bring a picnic for the whole family. It's outside so rain or wind could affect the event but this year the rain stopped long enough to allow for a great day - only after a good number of people got drenched! If you never saw it, plan to go next year. It's about 1-1.5 hour north of Austin. See photo.
