We tried this place out for the first time and got the 11.99 dinners with the catfish nuggets and perch. Also got catfish nuggets with chicken tenders. The dinners came with fries. We liked the food, especially since it was cooked fresh to order. We didn't mind waiting 10 min. The only thing I would change or make a suggestion of to the owners, would be to offer fresh housemade tarter sauce in small containers. It's super easy to make and cheap for the ingredients, cost wise. It also would be a nice accent to dip the fish into. I think that people would really love that! The packets of tarter sauce are thin and the consistency of the sauce is watery and doesn't taste that great pairing it with your fish. Coming from being in Culinary school, I have made my own tarter sauce at home and the fresh lemon in it mixed with fresh mayo, pickles, herbs and seasonings is a total game changer! You should try it. Like I said, just a suggestion that might ramp up your business. All and all, very good food for the money and big portions. Will be back definitely! Customer service was so nice also.

This isn't some big fancy spot in Rockford. Da Catch is a small spot just pass the corner of St. Charles and Alpine. Most tourists type likely wouldn't consider it. Full of bright lights, big picture signs with pricing and a few other things that may be considered drawbacks. If you are looking for simple, hot and good tasting fried catfish, fried shrimp chicken wings and fries, then Da Catch is your best stop option in Rockford. The service is always important to me. The ladies were helpful, friendly, courteous and pleasant. They adjusted my order to benefit the family on pricing. A winning situation. Thanks!

Tried this place for the first time the other day. We did delivery via DoorDash, so I can't attest to anything indoors, but the food was fantastic! We had their mild sauce on fries, wings, perch, and catfish fillets, as well as hush puppies. We've tried other places similar, but this location is EPIC. We'll order again soon to try a few other items. Plus, my mom had a question and had to call the restaurant, and the woman who answered was extremely polite and sweet, and that's always a bonus!

Food is always prepared fresh and I always enjoy it. Staff are always friendly. The dining room usually needs a good cleaning, but it's cheap and good.
