Fun stop or destination on the Silver Comet. About 2.5 miles east of Coots Lake trailhead. This tunnel does trap water so be prepared for sloshing through some muddy puddles.
When you reach this part of the trail going West, you know you're covering some good ground. This tunnel is fun to scream in lol, but beware there is standing water, your backside, feet, bottles, legs and everything will clearly show evidence of the tunnel
Where else around here can you ride your bike through an old train tunnel like the kind in a wild west movie? !?
Great place to take a ride to on your bike. About 25 miles from Floyd Trail Head
Interesting piece of railroad history. It's also great during the summer or winter, as the temperature stays close to 60 all year like a cave.
Cool but dangerous. This historic tunnel is an impressive sight with an awesome arch. It's well lit, but that doesn't deter the Tunnel Snakes. They were dancing in a circle while chanting "tunnel snakes rule, we're the tunnel snakes. That's us, and we rule!" Just be aware when you go through.
This is a railroad tunnel which was abandoned and turned into a muiltuse trail.
