We needed an older rug cleaned and repaired. Hamid immediately identified it and offered suggestions about how best to repair it. It now looks great. Moreover, Hamid was given the option to make some other repairs but chose not to because of the expense and the negative effect it would have had upon the rug's authenticity. We were very grateful for both his expertise and his judgment. We will definitely consult him again should the opportunity arise.

I brought a rug I had purchased abroad into Rugport, and I can't tell you how generous and helpful they were to me. They sent the rug to Chicago for needed repairs and preparation for hanging. All work was excellently done and fairly priced. If you need a rug or if you need help with a rug you already own, I can't recommend Rugport highly enough. Not only do they have a huge and varied selection of rugs for sale, they are such a pleasure to work with. Definitely two thumbs up!
Hamid and Nancy are knowledgeable, helpful and fun to work with. We have purchased rugs from Rugport and have had some of our older rugs repaired and cleaned. Every contact we have had has been positive. Hamid is passionate about Persian rugs, even to the point of visiting our home and making sure his rugs were the right size, style and color. We visited Rugport and a few other Michigan rug dealers in a recent search for another oriental rug. We found many beautiful options, but in the end, we bought from Rugport. While we were initially focused on a specific type of floral Tabriz style design, the options we saw at Rugport expanded our thinking to include more geometric designs. Hamid and Nancy quickly dialed into our tastes and were invaluable in learning more about rug designs. There is a clear passion for the product in these folks. A bit after our initial visits, they sent us a photo of a new rug they had just received, and thought might fit our needs. It was the statement piece we were looking for and quite different from what we initially thought we were looking for. We could not be happier with the choice, the price and the customer service.
I found Rugport by chance soon after they opened. I am so glad I did. The quality of their rugs is only surpassed by the incredible warmth and friendliness they show their customer. Hanid and his wife Nancy went over and above any expectation to make sure the rug I loved in the store would be the rug I would love in my house. I am overjoyed with the work of art I purchased and can't wait to get another.
