Sacramento airport is very convenient. Like many regional airports the have a few international flights, it's name belies a mid-sized place that is more of the start or endpoint of a trip. Going to Ski in Tahoe? Great place to start. Just a 2 hour drive and flights are really reasonable. Spend a day checking out Sacramento.

Nice TSA officer inspected my backpack , and found a pocket knife that I put there along with other stuff I collected from my car before leaving it at body shop. Overall its a little cozy airport, not crowded at all with only one open food place at the food court.

I rarely fly anymore but in May of 2019 I flew to Boston using Jet Blue.. My experience was far better than Southwest. I was able to pick my seat at time of reservation/purchase on the web. Southwest is OK if you have A or B tickets ... C is dicey for a good seat ...

Terminal B is new and really nice. I noticed a guy shoplifting from a shop. Maybe not such a big deal but he was nervous and sweating and strange. I talked to the shop people and they were clueless, so I contacted security. Two police officers showed up. They found the guy and verified what I said. Then they came back around and thanked me for speaking up. You're welcome guys, I really appreciate the work you do. You have the hardest jobs.
