Good restaurant, small, and beautiful cultural aesthetics. There were Ethiopian music videos playing on the TV the entire time which I enjoyed! The negative experience of this restaurant was being asked if my service-dog-in-training has “verification.” According to usserviceanimals.org, “staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person’s disability.” VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Happy to support a local business! Came here for my birthday with family. Shared a delicious vegan plate and walked away with a full belly. The staff was kind, helpful and accommodating.

Most restaurants can be a place for nourishment but then there are those that can serve as introduction to the culture in addition to inspiration. This place got me interested in the Ethiopian culture and traditions, as well as inspired be to try making the dishes at home. Very nice staff, excellent flavorful dishes with great portions. I would give more stars if I could.

Soooo.... I wasn't expecting much when we got to the restaurant, nothing really stood out on the outside or the inside but I guess the owner wanted to let the food speak for itself. I have had this genre of food several times in different countries and I really liked this place a lot. We got a chicken based dinner for two and it had about six different selections to grab up with the gluten free type of bread, which is made from a grain cereal called Teff that actually originates in Ethiopia/Eritrea. I am not usually a fan of gluten free things but man does this bread taste good with the food, almost has a savory taste to it. We also tried the hot tea and that was exceptional and we ordered a small coffee. I should say I am not a big coffee drinker but this coffee was excellent with a bit of sugar. All in all the dinner for two was more than enough food even though we skipped dinner and it was a bit late, there was still a little bit left on the giant plate that I just didn't have room to fit, even though I absolutely enjoyed each of the options.

This was my 1st time here. Was looking for vegetarian options for some of us with meat options for others. The issue was those that ate meat. We had 2 meat dishes and both dishes we tough no moist and tender. The short ribs were very over cooked. I was really looking forward to depth of flavor and fresh delicious food. The spinach dish tasted watered down. To make it worse we were returning from a road trip and stop there on the way home so we called in our order and waited in our car for 30 min. Having waited, I would have thought the food would have tasted tender, moist and fresh. I really only enjoyed the bread.

Absolutely LOVE Rehoboth. It's the best San Antonio spot for Eritrean-Ethiopian and one of our favorite restaurants in San Antonio. Period! Would highly recommend - it will become one of our favorite restaurants too!

Very unique and flavorful food worth experiencing at least once in your life. I’ve never had Ethiopian food and ordered the sampler which was huge & enough to have feed 4 people easily. This sampler also cane with 2 tea drinks. They also have a kids section in case the little ones are not quite adventurous. The staff was nice and service was a little slow but there appeared to be only one waiter working the afternoon shift. But over very interesting experience and great for large groups.

I love this place. It is authentic Ethiopian food and they have vegetarian and vegan food (about 20 dishes). Ordering Sambusa is a must
