I participated in the 45 day challenger program and lost 20 lbs in 6 weeks! The professor Daniel is a very positive influence that helps you accomplish your personal goal. A wealth of knowledge! To Anyone looking to begin their journey in BJJ I highly recommend this gym! Good people! Good Vibes!

Whether you are a beginner or advanced, this is a great place to learn BJJ. The instructor, Daniel Pinheiro, and all the students are very friendly and make you feel right at home. I have a background in wrestling and in 6 weeks, I have learned a lot and picked up some new valuable techniques to add to my ground game.

Daniel Pinheiro is a multi BJJ world champion who teaches his philosophys and secrets right here in SA. He offers a challenge to train with him and his team of sharks for a month and a half for free! You only need to loose 20 pounds which I thought was impossible lol but screw it right its all about that YOLO lifestyle now lol. Embarrassingly enough I started the challenge weighing in at a wopping 204 pounds! At the end of the challenge I needed my weight to be 184, which the last time I was that light was 12 years ago after boot camp lol? I dont know what it is about this challenge that made it so easy? It could have been the environment? No matter how tired everyone was from their daily lives as soon as they got on those mats all they care about is the training and their own self improvement. It may have been all of Professor Daniel's early morning texts encouraging us to start the day out right with a smile on our face and a healthy breakfast, followed by an inspirational quote of course. Maybe the rigorous training that usually ended with me needing to ring the sweat out of my cloths before getting in the car? At the end of the challenge even after I ate a few fluffy, floury tortillas I knew I shouldn't have, I had lost a total of 26 pounds! Thats 178 for my final weigh in. So if you are someone that feels stuck just say YOLO like I did and give it a shot. I am so grateful for all the sharks that I got to meet and helped me get to where I'm at! Thank you!

Professor Daniel is the real deal! I encourage anyone who’s on the fence of starting BJJ to come by the gym and watch one class. I started out as a challenger and knew after the first day that I’d be joining Team Shark. I have since signed up my two children and they absolutely love it. There’s nothing more valuable than investing in yourself!
