This review is long over due. There's a true reason people love it here! The food is absolutely amazing. The staff is wonderful, and the vibe is so cozy. I was last here before Covid changed the world. This place left an ever lasting impression on me. My younger brother (who is the pickiest eater) cleaned his place and started on mine. Everyone there was having a blast eating the wonderful food. The waitress was genuinely nice enough to teach us the correct pronunciation of the dishes after we asked. This place deserves all the praise.

Excellent pizza, pasta and salad. Decent portion sizes. Quick and friendly staff. It’s best if you place your order way ahead of time. Lots of options and you can’t go wrong!
I mean... nothing beats just being dragged into an authentic Persian restaurant by your Persian friends. I was told this has been here for over 40 years and a go to restaurant for most Persian families. Came in for a late lunch and it was still pretty busy. The kitchen had a glass window so you can see them grill & prepare your food. We got the yogurt dip with pita bread. I had them order for me since they wanted me to try other things. I ended up with a lamb kabob (1/2 kabob with rice & grilled veggies)... so tender, juicy, & melts in your mouth good. I never really thought I'd enjoy lamb but this was really good. I also tried their lamb chops & their combination plate. All really good. An order is plenty to split between two people.
This is my favorite Italian restaurants in the heart of SD! Everytime my friend wants to do a bday dinner at olive garden or spaghetti factory I always wish I were at Buona Forchetta! Not sure what to order? The pizza or calamari is always a good appetizer stater. For entrées we always order from the wall of specials and we are always pleasantly suprised with how good it is. Dessert go to choice tiramisu or grab some Gelato from next door. Both are good choices.
Good service. The Mongolian beef is tasty. It's pricey but the service plate is family style and huge. Also got the Peking chicken which is tasty, sweet, and like the different deep fried and stir fried option kinda like orange chicken at Panda Express.
