Garrett Trainor

I recently decided on a career change and began my path towards becoming a pilot. Initially, I called a few places and the owner of SDFTI (Phil) was more than willing to take time to answer all my questions, instead of directing me to a website like another school did. I met Phil in person a few days later and signed up that day. Phil paired me with my flight instructor, Oliver. Since I started back in July I have obtained my private pilot license and am working on my IFR training. I cannot say enough good things about Oliver and the school. It has the benefit of ALL in house testing that no other school has, which really helps to make you feel comfortable. From the front desk to the flight instruction, I am very pleased with every aspect of this business and look forward to a great training environment throughout all my certifications.

On the 15th of April I got my PPL here, with 79hours under my belt. Now I'm off to the Philippines to volunteer as a missionary pilot for the rest of my earthly life. I'll miss the Sdfti family of aviators. God bless you guys and thank you again for your continuous improvement over the years.

About a month ago I took a sUAS exam at San Diego Flight Training International. Cathy was the admin and she went above and beyond. She is a nice and wants all the applicants to pass the exams. The testing center is 3 cubes wide and it doesn’t feel like the DMV or claustrophobic like most PSI testing centers I’ve visited in the past. When I decide to pursue my private pilot's license and I plan to do so here.
