This was my primary light rail station for my commute for two years. There is a lot of parking, but much of it is not very well-lit. On several occasions I saw broken glass indicating that a car had been broken into. The few times I parked there, I made sure to park in a well-lit and more visible space, but usually I rode my bike. There is an escalator which was running probably a little more than half the time. There is an elevator which often housed a sleeping homeless person overnight. If you are at the station early or late, you may meet him there. The elevator has, of course, been used multiple times as a urinal, so if you have a problem with stairs and the escalator is not running, just be aware. The waiting platform is generally kept clean and there is a reasonable amount of coverage for rainy days. There are information signs but the only active signage is an LED clock/announcement board that does not give any information about expected arrival times or delays. (The only VTA station where I've seen any actual information signs is Diridon, and that was recently added.) The 901 line was generally reasonably reliable and usually on time. It also usually had 2 cars at all times I took it, which has not been true of the 902 line. It seems that when carriages are taken out of service, they reduce 902 capacity first.
