Back in October 2020, our family made the difficult decision to part with our 13 year old puppy as she was rapidly declining in health and quality of life. We went a couple of months living in a dog-less home and it felt strange after having lived with a furry friend for 20 years. We decided to look for a new dog to join our family and started reaching out to rescues. After having trouble with a few rescues showing us lack of communication and response, and feeling a little defeated in our efforts, my wife discovered Pet Rescue by Judy and found a puppy that we were interested in meeting. Pet Rescue by Judy was super responsive and the process was clear and efficient. Within a couple of days, we were able to meet with Shadow at Pet Rescue by Judy's office and see if we would all be a good fit for each other. We were given a private room to meet Shadow and her foster parent. This gave us an excellent opportunity to see how the dog behaved as well as ask the foster parent questions. We were able to take Shadow for a walk to see how she was. At the end of it, we decided to have Shadow join our family. The paperwork and direction from the people at Pet Rescue by Judy was excellent. They even sold us a cage for an extremely reasonable price. The process overall was fantastic and I can't say enough good things about Pet Rescue by Judy. Shadow has been living with us for a little over 2 weeks now. You can tell her foster parents loved her by seeing her attitude and disposition. We are very lucky to have her and would definitely recommend and go to Pet Rescue by Judy again.

This is the place where you want to rescue an animal from. Every animal is brought in from many different situations and they are so loved from the start. We just adopted a 6 month old dog, and I’m so thankful we did because we didn’t just get a new dog, but a new family member. My Magnolia was well cared for and the vet confirmed I got a wonderful healthy dog. She is well behaved and even potty trained thanks to Judy and friends. We will definitely be volunteering with soon enough after seeing how wonderful of human beings these people are and what they do. They need help so don’t be afraid to volunteer and gets some animal love!! Thanks Judy!!!
I recently adopted a wonderful dog from PRBJ. The process of filling out the application was easy. A staff member contacted me within one day and a meeting was set up. The staff is very professional and friendly. You can tell their main concern is to find the right family for each adoption at the shelter. The animals I saw there are well taken care of. I highly recommend this organization. Thank you Pet rescue by Judy. Your staff is wonderful to work with and your compassion for animals is so relevant.
I was looking for a companion dog for my first rescue pup. When I contacted the rescue they were very quick to assign me an advocate who paired me with the perfect dog. The dogs are well taken care of and the rescue is supportive, yet protective to ensure that each adopter will be the right home for their fur babies. The dog that we adopted was Noelle. She now seems pretty happy with her human brothers, and other adopted canine and feline sisters. :-)
We were first timers. We had seen our beautiful pet in one of their postings. Filled out the adoption agreement online. Then scheduled an appointment to go meet him. It was love at first sight for both of us. The agency and building is immaculate the adoption process is very simple. I love the fact that they are very thorough in their investigation of you before they will send you the okay to schedule an appointment. They truly care about all the animals.
