Good for kids
Could not be happier. My kid has been going here (100% online via Zoom) for the last one year and we have notice a 'dramatic' increase in his ability to communicate, discuss and think. Speech and drama when systematically practiced can enhance a growing minds soft-skills and maturity. Worth the money many times over. (Increase your rates!!!)

The Westchester School of Speech and Drama is fabulous! Acting and practice with speaking publicly comes in so many wonderful and creative forms. This all happens with the wonderful and extremely talented and supportive Shahnaz. I can't say enough positive things about the fun, innovative, and warm environment Shahnaz provides for the students. And the freedom to be yourself and to experiment with different voices - very remarkable woman and a great addition to our daughter's life.
Shanaz’s compassion to this class brings out the creative side in me. Her class has helped me make new friends, become more outgoing in class and in school, and has sparked a interest in acting I never knew I had. For many kids in the class it helped them develop their skills. For some it was a fun outlet to let loose with new people that had similar interests. I have been in this class for around three years now and would definitely recommend joining all the amazing people in this class!
I started talking Shahnaz’s class over a year ago. She has taught me not only to be more confident in my acting but also in myself. I am more comfortable presenting projects at school and being in front of group. This class has taught me so much!
The Westchester School of Speech and Drama program is an amazing opportunity to learn and expand on speech and improvisation skills. The class, under the expert guidance of Shahnaz Shroff, provides a supportive, encouraging environment in which to build these skills and in the process also builds confidence and self-esteem. The innovative program teaches use of the voice, body and movement and focuses on such details as effective breathing, vocal projection, articulation, and word emphasis. It also teaches the techniques of how to create mood, meaning, characterization and emotion / feeling in public speaking and performance. The kids are exposed to a variety of materials which include memorization of poems, chapter extracts, and sonnets. Improvisation builds skills that transfer beyond the program environment by stimulating creative and problem-solving, thinking techniques. Shahnaz is professional in her approach yet is able to make this a non-stressful learning environment in which the kids look forward to attending weekly! There is also an amazing opportunity for your child to take their performance skills to next level beyond the classroom in a one on one professional assessment through a Trinity College London examiner once a year.
