Went in after a friend financed a scooter from there. I didn't know anything about what type of bike was right for me, or anything. The staff was very knowledgeable and got me behind the wheel of a high performance scooter with a 2 year warranty. They answered every question I had, got me the financing I needed, and did all the DMV paperwork for me. I would highly recommend Performance Scooter to anyone looking to get one.

To the person that cried about how he was treated... I have one of those cheap Chinese made scooters. They break every month and end up costing you more money than they're worth. I'm constantly bailed out of a bad situation with my scooter by this shop. But, until I can get better transportation it's what I have to work with. They were trying to help you, not hurt your powder puff feelings. And to Mike Miller; the only thing shady is leaving a negative review with ought actually experiencing the shop firsthand. They've had the chance to rake me over the coals several times and they were always completely honest with fair prices and a good turnaround time (always the same day unless it was something major). I know what I'm talking about because I went through several other shops before finding this one. This is the best scooter shop in Arizona by far!!!!

I want to preface this by saying that I'm naturally a cautious/paranoid person, so when my breaks started squeaking my mind immediately jumped to "oh-no! my break pads are shot! I must get new ones immediately!" However, "immediately" turned into two weeks later due to my hesitation when it comes to repairmen. I've heard many horror stories about how shops search for things to "fix" and in turn scam people into giving them all their money, and since I live on a tight budget, I can't afford 100 service fees. My trip to Performance Scooter was nothing like the stories I'd heard before; the repair man was knowledgeable and answered every question I had. He went above and beyond to make sure I knew how to properly care for my scooter. Upon my request, he inspected my breaks and assured me that they were in good shape. I scooted away with a new-found respect for repairmen; specifically the gentlemen at Performance Scooters.

I have been taking my Kymco for more than 2 years and I feel that I am more than qualified to comment on: The shop: I enjoy taking my bike to Performance Scooter, no complaints. I never had to take my bike back or ran into any issues. They only do the work that is supposed to be done, no more, no less; for example, I had forgotten that they had changed my drive belt a few months earlier and I asked them to do it and they informed me that it only had 3,000 miles on it :o) The product: a Kymco Downtown 300. I have owned a Peugeot, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and an Aprilia but this is the first bulletproof bike I have owned, 30,000 miles and I haven’t run into a single issue. It’s even more reliable than a Honda!!! I had to change the fork seals on my Honda Silverwing a couple of times. Yes, these were minor issues but so far my Kymco has been incredibly reliable. Too bad Consumer Reports doesn’t have any data on these amazing machines. It’s more fuel efficient than my (slow) Aprilia Scarabeo 200 which was a much smaller bike. Kymco started in 1963 and they used to make parts for Honda bikes.
