Wow! What an amazing and unique trip with the most fun, knowledgeable and experienced Captain in Key West. Captain Hans took us out to some of the most amazing sandbars that I hardly knew even existed on the awesome Sea Monkey. He really makes you feel like a local! We will do this charter every time we come to Key West.

The best charter boat in Key West! We had a great time with Captain Hans. Dog friendly for locals and for tourists who travel with their pup. Saw so many things we had never seen before and the boat was very clean and nice with a lot of shade. It is a MUST DO on your Key West vacation.
My fiancé and I booked the morning (9am-1pm) sandbar adventure and we so thrilled that we could bring our dog (Tibby)! Captain/Owner Hans was very easy to get ahold of to coordinate and plan with. When we arrived at the dock, he was very friendly and already had a Yeti cooler full of ice for us to stash anything we brought with us (you bring whatever you want to eat/drink). The boat herself was very clean and clearly well-maintained. She is very comfortable and can easily fit a small group without feeling squished. The sound system was awesome and we listened to good music the whole time. She is a center-console boat with plenty of room to move around and one of the smoothest rides I’ve ever been on. I really appreciated the swim platform on the stern that made it very easy to get in and out of the water for both humans and dogs. Hans also had a dog bowl on board for Tibby and a really cool floating platform that we were able to hang out on that was easy for Tibby when she got tired of swimming. Hans was wonderful to hang out with. He was wonderful with Tibby and she was a total fan of him. He’s easy to talk to, funny, and we had a great time with him. When we said we wanted a quieter, more intimate experience, he took us to quite a few “secret spots” where we didn’t see anybody at all. He was incredibly respectful of the environment, stayed in the channels, off of the sea grass beds, and chatted with us about the local ecosystem. He clearly cares about the ocean and we loved hearing stories about growing up in the Keys! We will definitely go out with Hans on the Sea Monkey again. The price is easily split between folks and totally worth having the boat to yourselves, moving on your own schedule, and being able to bring anything that you like. Thanks Hans!
