This place is simply amazing. The food is as fresh as it can be, it is not greasy at all and the flavor is great. The prices are great, a real value can be had with the daily specials. Try the fried pickles.

I didn't know what to expect as this was my first time here. The host took my order and warned me it would take a while to make. Well, it was worth the wait. The fish was cooked perfectly, not greasy. The coleslaw was tasty, the shrimp and oysters were very good to my surprise. The portions were reasonable but could be a little bigger. In all, I was happy with the food.

This was my first time, and I'm very impressed with the food, service, and restaurant. The special with 1 white fish and 3 shrimp was an amazing value. The breading is thin and crisp, and everything is made quickly and fresh when you order. The location was extremely clean.

I wandered into this restaurant while trying to kill time yesterday. From the outside I thought it was going to be bigger when I walked in, so I was a little taken aback. There were a lot of options so it took a while to figure out what to get but the owner was VERY friendly and suggested many of their most popular choices. I cannot remember when I have had or seen service like what he provided. He was so nice and genuine and made me leave feeling like I couldn't wait to come back. I got an order of wings to go and they were huge! And so good! I'm really looking forward to returning to try the rest of their menu and it is mostly because of the great management there!

I absolutely love this place!! They have the best fish and chips!! This is the type of neighborhood restaurant that use to exist all over the place when I was a kid, they are sadly disappearing. The type of place where the food is great, affordable and after your second visit they greet you like you have been a life long regular.

The cod was really good. I give the fish 5 stars. I give the staff -2 stars and equal them to 2 star. The few tables they have were dirty. I had to clean our own space to be seated. We were told a 10 minute wait time which turned into 40 minutes. Two couples that arrived after us got their food before us. They also had fish. Alamo apparently waited to cook our cod last because .....(I have no idea why but I would like to ask them if it was a race issue). I don't care how good your fish was Alamo Fish ' n Chips your wait time was dreadful. The dining area was dirty. I saw an employee come in from outside and start working in the kitchen without washing her hands. Then she cleared tables off but didn't wash or sanitize them, then returned to the kitchen again without washing her hands. I will never return. I hope others follow my advice and avoid this place especially if you are rushed on time. (Or possibly if you're white and have an Asian wife) I hope that's not the case but something caused us to be served last.

The fried trout and fried shrimp were perfect, although next time I'll buy larger portions, it's so delicious; the prices are quite reasonable. For once, NO bones in the trout; most other restaurants just can't get all the pinbones out of trout. If this place starts selling fried scallops, I'll have to move in! They manage to fry everything without greasiness and without overcooking or drying out the items. They also have egg rolls and fried rice, unusual for a fried seafood place. They have an actual fish & chips meal that includes fried cod and hand-cut fries, with malt vinegar, etc. Next time, I'm going for the fish and chips, which should be divine. These folks know how to fry! Friendly staff. The owner takes time to greet the guests, a nice touch. A winner, in a modest business strip location.
