Had a wonderful experience with this company, everyone is super helpful and very kind. They have a lot of great donors to choose from and some have the cutest baby pictures. Alexis helped me when I had an issue and she resolved it no problem. Great company

I love that this is a business that supports every family and individual that wants to have children of their own! My partner was a sperm donor at this clinic before we met and the Seattle Sperm Bank has been very compliant in answering our questions and concerns as we’re beginning to plan for a family. With that being said, they should provide more thorough donor counseling to help donors understand what it means to become a biological father to children that will be in multiple families and that these children will likely have stories of their own that need to be shared. While sperm donors are not legally responsible for their offspring, they may be morally obligated to make themselves known to them later in life. Edit: I also wanted to add that I think the donors’ profiles should be more child-centric. For example, they had only asked my partner why he wanted to be a donor and what he’d want to say to the recipient parents, but it could be great for donor-conceived people to know that there was something that their donors wanted to say to them, as we’d be open to welcoming his donor children into our lives and family someday.
I’m a dad (transgender) going through this process with a spouse who is infertile. We opted to use Seattle Sperm Bank prior to hormone therapy so I can have our biological child. Alex has been so helpful. I didn’t feel the need to explain or embarassed. That is how it should be. A non issue and non confusing conversation. She also didn’t use triggering language. She gets it. This wasn’t a path I expected but I’m doing this for my family. Everyone is nice and willing to go out of their way to make things happen. My vials had super high counts. Our midwife was amazed. I’m now pregnant and due in a couple months. We are happy and thankful to seattle sperm bank .
I have been working with Seattle Sperm Bank since 2016 and I have two children from two donors. I did not plan ahead and had to choose a different donor for my second child. It was not ideal but we were so over the moon over child #1, it was not the first thing on our mind. I’ve interacted with the team that works at Seattle for four years. Their team has changed drastically from 2016 to now. There has never been a question of vial quality but customer service was really lacking I’m 2016. For our second child, it was a much better experience and even now when me or my wife call, email or chat, there is now an urgency we are met with that was not there before. Whatever changes have been made, they are doing the right thing. I get thorough and intelligent responses. I am met with kindness and people who care and are engaged. It’s very refreshing and I never feel like a bother. For my first child, I was not met with congratulations. For my second (gave birth in spring), I received a thoughtful response of congratulations and a personalized message. It brought tears to my eyes and made me feel like they really care. I’m very grateful to Seattle Sperm Bank, the extensive knowledge of the customer service team and the genuine care put into communicating. I’ve not had to wait more than 24 hours for an email response. If you leave a message on their chat service they always write back the next morning. This is awesome and was unexpected because sometimes you just want to leave a note or ask a question. We have a boy and a girl and they are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you to Seattle Sperm Bank and their amazing team. We are forever grateful for our two miracles.
I am not sure people here hate their job or just hate me. The entire experience is cold and even hostile. I think robots would done a better job than the pathetic people working there. The facility is clean though. In total, two stars.
After purchasing the three month membership and getting on the site I noticed there were no adult photos available. I was only registered for less than five minutes and emailed the company asking for a refund because I would not be using a donor site without adult pictures available. They responded that no refund would be available. I just think that information should be more accessible in case people find that of importance, so double check donor sites before you use them
SSB has been really great. I purchased vials from them after an event with KindBody. I really love my clinic in Cali and a free pass was offered after the web event. We worked with Alexis from day one and she assisted in us finding a donor. We did not get pregnant on the first try but finally we are pregnant after our 5th insemination. Everyone has been nice. Shipments have been timely for us. Would recommend.
Edited my previous review to reflect that I received an email back from a Supervisor a few days after I emailed them dissatisfied with my experience , she was very empathetic and addressed most of my concerns which I appreciate . Bottom line they have great quality sperm, I got pregnant doing IUI on my first cycle . They really ought to retrain or cut ties with some members of their customer service team but at least Alexis knows how to handle these situations .
