Dr. Kim at Essential Acupuncture is fantastic! From the first visit, he was so informative and explained all about acupuncture, the benefits and the philosophy. He is very friendly and warm in his bedside manner and makes you feel completely comfortable. Even better are the results, I have only been going for a few weeks and I already feel so much better. My sciatica pain has started to subside and I look forward to every visit for the relief and relaxation that it gives me. Each visit he uses painless needles, cupping and electro stimulation to help balance and heal. He has a passion for his work and it shows. I highly recommend Dr Kim! Bonus, the receptionist is extremely friendly and brings her sweet, adorable black lab Sport to the office every day. Very good vibes at this place!

I went in because my Ulnar Nerve was acting up on my right arm. Dr. Kim used a device to check my energies. I wasn't surprised that my right arm was so low that it was practically atrophied. Dr. Kim used both needles, electricity and cupping on my arm. I know I have a ways to go until it gets better. I let it go for so long. But today my arm feels stronger and not so much like a dead weight. I'm looking forward to having it working again. What I like about Dr. Kim the most is that he explains everything he is doing. He's very much into educating the patients. I also like the devices he uses to check energy. Although I understand energy systems, the analytical part of me likes to look at numbers and charts. I highly recommend him!
Doctor Kim is knowledgeable and patient. Before the treatment, we talked about my concerns, and he gave me a treatment plan. After few times visit there, I do feel better. Highly recommend.
So happy to have found Dr. Kim and recommend him very highly! His needle insertion technique is quick and decisive, and would be excellent for anyone with needle anxiety. After having been with another practitioner for years, I was nervous to have to begin with a new acupuncturist. Dr. Kim takes the time to understand where his patients are in their experience with acupuncture and meets them where they are. In his office, I feel very cared for and it is easy to trust in Dr. Kim's expertise. I have had significant improvement of neck and low back pain in only 3 treatments and am looking forward to continuing the work with Dr. Kim.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Young Kim for 4 years now and plan on seeing him for as long as I can. He’s very patient when I express what my body feels even if my explanations don’t always make sense. He’s a great communicator. Certainly he knows acupuncture but he can explain what he’s doing and why to help you understand the process. Personally, this helped me moving forward from each session because I was able to better communicate what I needed. Every session would get better. I enjoy my time with him. I enjoy the results I get from his work and again, I’ll be his patient for as long as I can.
