I have been a part of the DCFC community since 1996 and I can highly recommend this club. The coaches are excellent, and the epee fencing is top-notch. Whether you are a beginner or an elite fencer, this is great fencing club!

Whether you're an elite competitor looking to climb the national standings, or a total beginner looking to try out the sport of fencing for the first time, DC Fencers Club will help you identify and achieve your goals in a professional, welcoming, and comfortable environment. There are class and lesson options for fencers of all ages, including a outstandingly vibrant and diverse adult program. Class ratios are kept small, and classes are led by passionate and experienced instructors. A diverse range of classes are available with focuses to benefit athletes at various stages of development, including classes focused on footwork and fitness. Students of all skill levels are matched to experienced coaches whose approaches to the sport match the students' learning style and goals. The coaches at DC Fencers Club attend, coach, and compete on the national circuit, and make sure to keep current with cutting edge developments in the sport of fencing as well as sports science as a whole. Although the membership features many elite athletes who train here, the environment is anything but elitist. In the friendly and caring atmosphere, the club quickly comes to feel like the kind of second home where people will frequently drop in just to say hello.

My family has been fencing at DCFC for 5 years and I could not have found a better place. The atmosphere at the club is conducive to any level of fencer. The coaching staff has a wide variety of technical skills that helps to develop every fencer into the fencer they aim to be. I would recommend this club and its coaches to anyone who was looking to start fencing or is moving to a new area!

This is a great fencing club that caters to recreational as well as competitive fencers from age 8 to 80. Focusing primarily on epee and saber this club is staffed by a number of very competent coaches and assistant coaches. It is also conveniently located off the beltway (GA Avenue exit) with plenty of parking so is easily accessible from MD, DC and VA. Fencing is a great sport. DCFC is a great and welcoming place to get into it (or get back into it).

DC Fencers Club is such a friendly community, that's one of the reasons I love it. I walked into the club six years ago, and have become hooked on the beautiful, challenging and rewarding sport of fencing. Did I mention this club has world-class coaches who teach world-class fencers? It's a very international club as well, with students and guests dropping in from all over the world. There is truly something for everyone at DC Fencers Club. Have fun learning this Olympic sport and make new friends. For those who train competitively, DCFC coaches will encourage you and help you exceed your limits.
