We have been shopping at the Fur Gallery for over 20 years. The quality of their products and expertise can't be touched anywhere in town. Marcus and his team will bend over backwards to make sure you receive the best possible buying experience. For ten years I had watched my entire family purchase some of the finest furs the store has to offer. I knew I would finally get my opportunity to get the coat I always wanted. Marcus went the extra mile to make sure my custom parka came out perfect. Every time we visit town we are sure to stop in and spend some time with "The Fur Gallery Family"

It was a great experience, and then when I saw him at the Jackson Hole store this summer he was able to help me select a beautiful everyday mink for my wife. I have purchased numerous fur coats from Marcus and Hiram at the Sitka Fur Gallery over the last 25 years as have my family and friends. The quality of their furs is superior to what I have found at other high end fur stores and they have always gone out of their way to make sure my garment fit to perfection and that I was completely satisfied with my purchase. I have seen and unfortunately purchased less expensive furs on line which I have had to return because their quality was atrocious. Once the people at the Sitka Fur Gallery show you the difference between an on line fur and one of their family heirloom fur coat/ hat/blanket, you will shop no where else. I NEVER get tired of the oohs and aahs when I have one of my Sitka Fur Gallery coats on. This is a family business that makes every client feel like family.

Bought what I hope is a real fur coat. They were so nice in the store and every time I’ve called (hence the two stars) but have never kept their promise that when they shipped the coat to me, it would be with an appraisal. I’ve asked for an appraisal several times to turn in to my insurance company and have yet to receive one. I’ve called over and over and even emailed. So if you don’t get it when you buy it… You probably never will. For this reason, I won’t be doing business with them again.

BUYER BE AWARE !! I bought the Reindeer Skin Rug and they reassured me that it was treated and it would not shed too much !!! Plus the owner gave me her contact to gain my trust . It started shedding a LOT as though it was never treated !! when I callled them to complain no response . They are not upfront and tourists get taken advantage of!!

I was on vacation in Sitka for a fishing trip and bought a fur hat for 200 dollars. Found it on Amazon for 90 dollars. Kinda a tourist trap. Just saying research before you buy, also shame on this company. I will return to Sitka but not this tourist trap.
