The hosts were not very friendly. At first, Bob greeted us friendly, He let us borrow a map and bear spray. However, Nancy did not like our presence for some reason. We arrived at their place on a later side, as we wanted to make the most our of our visit to the park. So, perhaps she didn't like that. Or maybe the fact that my mom and I were from Russia... and she doesn't like Russian women. She was also very sarcastic on the fact that I wasn't really aware that they called themselves Bed and Breakfast, sorry... but no need to be rude. Nancy and later Bob too did not make an eye contact with us for 2 days..even after I complimented her on breakfast and her quilts, she did not bother to be nice either. Although the guest book had great reviews from others... So i was really surprised why we were treated as such... They do make great food and location is about 25 min from the glacier park, which is convenient. If you want bread or anything more that's in a to go breakfast, you have to ask in advance. The bed is very comfy also. After processing a payment on my Master Card they also charged us again on our other card, hopefully we can resolve that. So overall the stay was good, considering the fact that we tried to find something close to the park, as our goal was to hike as much as possible, given our background... but the hosts were not nice at all.

This place was great. Nancy and Scott have made this a great stay. We stayed in the apgar suite. While it was a little dated it was very comfortable. The included breakfast was amazing. They also offer a breakfast to go if you aren't going to be there for breakfast. There property is gorgeous. If we are ever in Montana again we would stay here without question.

We just stayed a week in the main Lodge and got to visit with Scott and Nancy each morning at breakfast. They were very knowledgeable about the area and very helpful with anything we needed or questions that we had. The breakfasts were incredible and the room was comfortable and very clean. We definitely recommend this beautiful place to anyone coming to visit Glacier National Park and we will stay there again when we get back this way!! Thanks Scott and Nancy for helping us feel right at home.

We really enjoyed our visit. Our hosts we're very helpful, loaning us great maps and local tourist information. The breakfasts were wonderful with lots of local favorites like homemade jams and maple syrup. A great, relaxing place. Don't miss the nearby rain forest, a very interesting surprise in Montana! Thanks!!!

We stayed in the bed and breakfast cabin. It was very homey and the breakfast was amazing. Scott and Nancy put together a different homemade breakfast every morning. They also have an assortment of teas and coffee out in the morning. Their property has a trail to the water. I was surprised to come home in the evening with fresh towels and the room cleaned up.

Scott and Nancy were wonderful hosts for my husband and I on our honeymoon, and my birthday! We loved Miss Maxie, their Newfy. The breakfasts we had were AMAZING. Kept us full all day during our hikes through Glacier, which is located nearby. Miss Nancy had a lot of homemade items included which tasted great. Scott was very helpful when it came to things to do and places to camp on ours next stop! Highly recommend Smoky Bear Ranch and we will be sure to stay there again on our next trip to MT!

We rented the "Little Bear" cabin at the Smoky Bear Ranch. It was exactly as advertised. The craftmanship is very nice, and the setup makes a lot of use of a relatively small space. It has that "little house" feel that's so popular these days. Of note, anyone not interested in a loft bedroom where you need to go up and down a ladder of stairs to get to the bathroom on the 1st floor might prefer their larger cabin, or their B&B. We loved having our own space (meaning not just a hotel room), and having a yard area where we could have a campfire and sit outside. One of the best things is having this type of setup so close to Glacier National Park! Scott and Nancy were good to work with and very accommodating. We were very pleased with our stay and would consider going there again if we're back in the area in the future. Glacier National Park is gorgeous, and this destination as one for getting away, getting out in nature, and doing some hiking definitely didn't disappoint.
