JoD is an incredible swim teacher. She truly has a gift. Her team is just as amazing. I’ve had kids in lessons for the past 4 years and am still amazed at their abilities and other kids I see at the pool. Not only are my kids doing something healthy and productive but it could save their lives. Literally. I will forever be a fan and am so grateful for the peace of mind I have.

We've been so impressed by JoD at Utah Swim Academy. My daughter started right before her 3rd birthday and a year later she is jumping off high dives, dives, swims well, and has learned to respect the water. It's such a relief to not worry about her near water. We started our 11 month old as well and learned to float by himself on lesson #2. We've looked at other swim lessons and she is the best around. She builds life saving skills and loves her students.
Jo D is the best instructor. 4 of my kids have taken survival swim lessons with her and all of them are the best swimmers. It has saved their lives. I started at 16 months old with all of my kids and they all knew how to float on their backs within 2 days of their lessons. It’s so nice to know they know how to swim and they don’t have to wear a floaty! Jo D is so sweet with the kids and knows exactly how to make babies float and survive! She’s simply the BEST!! We love her!
If you are putting your children in any sport or extra curricular activity other than swimming you are missing out on a life skill they can actually use for the rest of their life! I have seen and heard dozens of stories where a few lessons have saved that child's life. Survival swim lesson aren't an option in my book but a necessity. I started each one of my kids out way before they could crawl. I now have grandchildren whom are not only safe in the water but absolute fish! The peace of mind is priceless...
We had such a wonderful experience and could not be more pleased. Mrs JoD and her whole staff are very well trained and the atmosphere is very positive. They pushed my girls in all the right ways, were firm but CALM which was just what my girls needed. Now they are confident, safe swimmers and I have the peace of mind I need. We are so happy!
JoD is an excellent teacher, she taught all 4 of my kids (ages 9yrs to 6 months). They are all proficient swimmers and are very confident in water. She has made it possible for us to enjoy many vacation/snorkeling. Thank you!
I have tried it all, public, private, rec lessons and then I found UTAH SWIM ACADEMY. The best thing that ever happened to my confident little swimmers my 1,3,5 year olds all took lessons here and I am truly amazed how amazing their swimming philosophy is. I will never go anywhere else. I can’t say enough good things about them, go get your lessons!
JoD is amazing! She has taught all three of my stubborn energetic kids to swim and float even my autistic son! I was so afraid with my autistic son around water because he has no fear especially with water. She was able to teach him to float in one lesson and was able to teach him effectively to help him be safe around water which gives me a piece of mind. I cannot express how much I appreciate her patience and love toward my kiddos. She truly has a gift to adapt to any kids and get them to swim and float. So worth the money!!!
