A touring cyclist, by any means road, gravel, or trail, will find everything they need at Sports World including fair prices, deep discounts, a well stocked bike shop (including high end parts) and a mechanic that is not only generous with their knowledge but also the real deal. I spent at least an hour, unpacked and repacked my bike after it was completely checked-over by Chris, and eventually departed with fond memories and all of my needs met. By the way, don't miss The Cup Coffee Shop a little deeper into Ely, and tell Cindy, Mindy, and Sally I said hello! ️

I have been going back and forth to Ely for about 15 years visiting friends, hunting, and fishing. Sportsworld has been the main store I have shopped and they have always been good to me. until now, now they have been exceptional. I purchased some radios from them that did not work. I had burned all evidence that I purchased these radios from them. The manager without question took the return and refunded my money even though she did not have to and had no reason to except good old fashioned values. I am a customer for life.

I had a flat tire on my mountain bike rear tire. Went to Sportsworld and they fixed my issue and identified why it got a flat in the first place (second flat tire in a week). Chris showed me the inside ribbon had moved over time and exposed an internal drilled hole in the rim that was rubbing against my tubes and causing these issues. So he replaced the old ribbon with new and in a few minutes I was ready to go. Very professional and a nice variety of bike equipment was in the shop (the rest of the store is nicely laid out and nicely stocked with all kinds of fishing/hunting and other sports related gear. Thanks for the great service and nice meeting you Chris!!

Loved looking around, all your outdoor needs plus a bike shop! We're here to fish, had live bait and lots of helpful information for the area.

Impressive selection, poor mask compliance. Several of the employees were unmasked, and most customers were as well. They have a sign on the door saying it is mandatory, and another sign saying that they will assume anyone without a mask must have a health condition that prevents their use. What a joke. The teenaged clerks both have health conditions? I will take my business elsewhere, to a place that values its customers' health.
