I highly recommend Bill Lake Homes! They are build amazingly and extremely insulated and professional! The factory tour was excellent, and the opportunity to see our home in production was awesome! All was delivered when expected and the crew onsite were top notch! Absolutely amazing to watch them finish the roof on site in minutes! All was as I expected, actually even better! Thank you!

Communication between builder and myself was very poor. Instead of 10% overage on some sight materials I was 10% short on plywood for the roof, hardwood flooring, roofing shingles and siding. In an effort to keep the build moving forward I had to order the shortages and was never reimbursed. I’m not kidding! So then I opted to use Bill Lake’s set up crew to assemble the house. The plans called for gable returns that didn’t happen when putting the roof on. I’ve never seen such cheap door knobs and light fixtures. Brass plated that tarnished in months. I was never given an option on the quality. I certainly would have paid extra than to have wasted money on something that was going to have to be replace in less than a year. 12 doors in the house, not including exterior doors, and everyone of them had major issues. Wether it was the door misaligned in the jab or the strikers were either not aligned or they never cut out the hole in the jamb for the sticker. By the way my wife was nearly killed when the 3’X5’ mirror in the master bath fell off the wall and shattered onto the double sink. Imagine my rage. I swear on everything I love in life this is the truth and I’ve harbored a grudge with this company for years as I live in my home.
Idirections from the ny throughway..truckers, if your using a dezl gps it will take you right to bill lake home construction. Couple low branches and a HARD left turn onto flanders road...be ready for it. Right turn into their driveway with plenty of room. Nice people.

Advice based on buying two homes from BL: 1.) If you order hardwood, tile or custom flooring, have it installed on sight and after all the internal work is complete. My floors were damaged during the setting and finishing process by contractors tracking in mud and dirt. Also the debris from the building materials (spackle)covered the floors. 2.) Make sure you put all changes and special orders (everything) in writing. The documents you will be given from BL will not include everything. There was a mess up our order for a large double door and cabinets. 3.) If you order tile for your shower walls, have them installed on sight. The grout cracks during transportation. 4.) Make sure you understand what work will be done by Bill Lake and what work will be done by you or your contractor. We were not told that we had to finish the hardwood floors after the setting. The home is well built. Our electrician says Bill Lake homes are one of the better homes on the market. Since he works on multiple manufacturer's homes, I trust his opinion. We visited the factory several times and were treated very well. Based on my experiences with Bill Lake and the quality of workmanship, I would recommend them for your home. Be careful and good luck.
