After being blown off by the 55 minute wait at Columbia House we stumbled into Rhett's just up the street and were more than pleasantly surprised. Within 15 minutes of sitting down we were enjoying our appetizer which in itself was a great explosion of flavors perfectly balanced (International meats and cheese which was so much more than that) and our main course was seared tuna and crab cakes, one word "amazing". To top it all off we had the desert of the day which was a homemade fig and pecan ice cream :). We sat upstairs and was amazed at how fast and great the service was, without a doubt this was fine dining and the prices were very reasonable. We hope to stop in again next time we are dining in St Augustine.

Long story short, we went to Rhett's with high hopes because of the glowing reputation Rhett's has allegedly earned. We asked to be seated upstairs so we could talk without the piano being too intrusive. There was a group at another table upstairs so I felt confident that we would not be forgotten by the staff. We weren't not forgotten as much as we were ignored. The hostess even made eye contact with my wife after we waited for over 5 minutes for our server to arrive and take drink orders. Even after this, no server arrived. We waited another 5 minutes, and someone finally assured us that our server would arrive shortly. We then decided that the reputation of this abysmal place is obviously inaccurate. Truth be told, it's a bar, and I guess it's a bar where diners can pay high prices for bar food. The menu didn't look all that exciting, but my we are foodies and intrepid chefs, so we thought we'd give it a try. We passed the young lady who we suspectedwas supposed to be server on our way out. Never again.

Food ok, watch out for hidden cost, way too expensive! Music really good but would not go back
A bit pricey but they don't skimp on the drinks and the atmosphere it's amazing. Service was a bit slow but a very accommodating staff. Will definitely visit again.
They are closed. Open Table never advised. Imagine our surprise when we showed up for our New Years Eve reservation.
