I have had energy audits done at other houses before and this was by far the most comprehensive. I felt like they not only gave me good advice and concrete information and steps, but they also let me know the suggestions that were maybe not cost-effective enough to do. I have a lot of confidence in the plan they helped me lay out, and I was able to do several improvements on my own for very little money.

I contacted Home Energy Squad because I was looking to further improve my energy efficiency. Even though my space is small, Murphy, the energy auditor walked through my apartment and gave me pointers on how I can make small improvements that make a difference. The scheduling was flexible and I felt like I learned a lot.
Great information regarding wall insulation, ceiling insulation, caulking, foam gaskets for outlets, appliance, and heat loss. Also had some gaps near doors they plugged with weather stripping. As a non-profit, I did not feel they were trying to sell me unnecessary services.
In 2 1/2 hours their outstanding team replaced 48 light bulbs, installed two new shower heads, evaluated our house, checked out the water heater, furnace and air conditioner. They also weather stripped the front door. They gave us outstanding recommendations that we will be implementing in the future. I recommend them to all home owners. You can't beat the price for all of the work done. Finally, think about it. It is a great value dollar wise. It is good for the environment. It is good for our society. Why not do it?
