I came to SmarterSail with 0 experience as a sailor. I left with the knowledge and skill to take the boat out on my own! My wife and I took the ASA 101, 103, 104 course with Captain H as our instructor. We LOVED it! Captain H was great to work with and very knowledgable. We both came with no experience and left with the confidence to captain the boat on our own. Captain H was patient with us and helped us gain the confidence necessary. We lived aboard the boat with our 3 teenagers. My 2 daughters shared the V-berth. My son slept on the settee. My wife and I, of course, took the aft \cabin\. My son fell off the settee most nights...lol. Not the greatest for sleeping on. But the V-berth and the aft cabin were comfortable and roomy enough.

Captain Gary and Captain H were tremendously patient and awesome instructors. Sailing is something that we want to be a family adventure. When I explained that we have 3 kiddos ages 8 and under, Gary was excited and warmly offered to let them be part of the entire experience! My wife and I both completed ASA 101/103 and 104 within a period of 2 weeks. The schedule flexibility of Gary and team was great. If you are looking to learn and not just check the block while enjoying the experience and patient assurance of experienced instructors- Smarter Sail is for you! To top it off the price is very reasonable and they are the only ASA instructors I could find that would allow us to bring our entire family- and they were genuinely excited to do so! We will be back to continue on our family sailing adventure! Highly recommend!

An amazing place. Capt H was great and got us through our classes including an amazing 20 mile sail around Tampa Bay that went under the Sunshine bridge.
