Took a guided climbing day with StoneMan last week in the McDowell Mountains. Really appreciated the smooth communication prior to the day and how Caleb customized the day to fit my objectives. I am an experienced sport climber with some multi-pitch experience but a very new trad leader. We spent the day in the McDowell Mountains hitting 3 different walls and allowing me to gain some experience and confidence in my trad skills and enjoy the beautiful Arizona desert. Great value and looking forward to another day in February.

I had the spontaneous idea to book a climb after hours on a Friday for a Sunday. I then decided I wanted to extend my climb to be longer while driving in an area with spotty service. Lauren was very accommodating and communicative to ensure that I would have a good time. I ended up not feeling great Sunday because Bisbee- and a bit into the hike my guide Caleb suggested we reschedule for the next day. He is so accommodating and we had the best day Monday. It was my first real real climbing experience but I have a solid mountaineering foundation with backpacking, so Caleb was able to suggest a route that was still adventurous and challenging for my skill set. I got to do a multi pitch trad my first climb! He knows so much about the Cochise and even more about trad climbing and guiding. He even rallied me to summit the dome when I was a little wigged out by the wind- he totally respects your limits and I am so glad he did. Awesome day of hiking and climbing- I felt very safe physically while climbing and otherwise. I am a female with no relatives or friends for thousands of miles in any direction from Cochise and I would suggest Caleb as a guide to any other women as well. Lunch he provided was delicious, great conversation and more climbing education than you can imagine. Even added history lessons if that's your jam. Excellent value and I hope to get to climb with Stoneman again!

My husband and I did a 2 hour climbing tour with Spencer up near toms thumb park. We both have done some indoor climbing before but were a little weary about outdoor climbing. Spencer took us to some great routes within our abilities, and we had a great time. If you’re in the Phoenix area and are interested in climbing at all, I would definitely recommend going with them. If we come back we would ABSOLUTELY go again!!

we are quite experienced climbers/adventurers having spent time on mountains in several continents, and we had the pleasure of spending an absolutely magnificent weekend with our guide Caleb and StoneMan out in Cochise Stronghold. Caleb's knowledge of the area was incredible, and superseded only by his technical and educational skills. a true delight, and THE perfect guide. and to top it off the OffGrid Ranch enjoys a spectacular view of the mountains and a great quiet and private spot to spend the night after long days of climbing. I would highly recommend StoneMan's services for anyone looking to get up on the rock and into the mountains - beginners and pros alike. OUR DEEPEST THANKS TO LAUREN AND CALEB FOR SUCH AN INCREDIBLE WEEKEND.

i love stone man! I went for a private day trip with Caleb, and it was everything i wanted as an inexperienced climber who wanted to take on the hobby again after a 15 year hiatus. He tailored the trip specifically to my needs and mixed the trip with some great climbs, awesome pointers, and an easy-to-remember overview of how to rig a safe system for a solo climb (something that is pretty specialized and not necessarily easy to find good info on). Caleb was such a knowledgable dude. So knowledgable that another instructor from a different climbing company started asking him for tips! I felt totally safe while also being encouraged to take my climbing to the next level. I would recommend to all!! Children and old people, inexperienced and pros, and also every one in between. Do it. Face your fears. Climb a cliff. Become one with the elements. Rock on.
