As a pilot myself since the age of 15, I was very careful in choosing a flight school for my 15 year old son. After careful research and getting to know Certified Flight Instructors at many Greater Boston Airports, I chose Aptis Aviation at Stow Airfield in Stow, MA. Devin and Dan have taught my son both ground school and flying for about a year now. We are both very impressed with the program, the patience, and most importantly the safety shown by the instructors. Well worth the trip to Stow if you live far away. We've been driving an hour each way because this school is so good, and there is a gourmet cafe run by husband and wife aviators just steps away. I will often watch my son's plane take off and land while enjoying a cup of tea. Megan Carroll Attorney

Great place to fly. Great instructors and planes. If you are already a pilot, check out the \access club\ (facebook: aptis access club) for discount rates.

Emailed for information about introductory flight and Rich told me that I need to go through background check through the TSA(because I'm not a US citizen). Went back and forth for document processing and fingerprint collecting, and then find out from their staff I only need the background check when I start training(not for a introductory flight). This is frustrating.
