Use to be a great place to enjoy. Last few times the newer camp host has been very abrupt and short with us. A couple of days ago we went down late and were getting things unloaded quietly. No one else in the campsite except someone staying/living in an rv. We always clean up our trash and are respectful. The same host came ( she said from work) out and said she got a call and told us we were being loud and disturbing other campers. She was very, very rude. She took Our 20 dollars and continued being rude even after we assured her, respectfully, that we were speaking quietly. Left soon as we woke up and went to the day picnic area on south side of the lake. Grass was way overgrown 2-3 feet, large dead tree limbs next to the only picnic table and feces on the wall in the bathrooms. We were saddened to see such neglect and have been spoken to so rudely. The lady that runs the bait shop on the south side had always been very kind and friendly.
Great camping trip. The people who own it are really nice giving out glow sticks to all the kids at night!
