Our daughter stayed last year for the first two week sessions. I thought by the end she would be missing home, but she did not want to leave! This was the absolute best experience for her and I just got done signing her up for 3 weeks of 2020 camp! I HIGHLY recommend signing up your daughter for this experience. It is something she has been looking forward all year! The staff is so professional, they go the extra length to really know who every child is and what their needs are. Their safety is number one, I was never worried because I knew she was in good hands. The cabins are comfortable, accommodating and sanitary. A

I’m a camper here and I really love this camp! I go here every year and each year I love it there. All the counselors are really nice and all the other girls there are also nice. My favorite part is when we worship Jesus. We pray before we eat, we have our morning bible watch book, etc! This camp is like a home away from home, I already signed up for another week this year! I hope I get to go!
My daughters are third generation campers at Mount Gilead. I loved it when I was a camper and have been taking my girls to mother-daughter retreats for over seven years. My oldest would prefer to stay all summer and both of my girls are planning on becoming counselors when they're old enough. I personally know the family that run the camp and fully trust that my children are under great care (and both of my daughters have peanut allergies). The teachings are straight from the Bible, and all of the staff are welcoming to everyone. I cannot recommend this camp more. We’re all Gilead girls for life!
Our daughter had THE BEST week of her summer at Mt. Gilead! She loved every second of it from her awesome counselors, to the girls in her bunk, to all the fun memories made around camp! The first thing she asked us as we pulled up to pick her up from the week (the longest she had ever been away from us) was, \Pleeeeeease can I come back next summer?!\ We are so blessed by Mt. Gilead and the way it has grown and encouraged our daughter.
It was the first time my two daughters experienced an extended overnight camping experience so I was very nervous. The staff at Mt Gilead made the process so easy and provided so much helpful information to educate me and my girls on what to expect and how to prepare. They were also so accommodating! I missed my girls so much but they had such an amazing time and the biblical lessons covered throughout the week has stayed with them for months after camp week. I cant wait for them to attend next summer and we may even extend it to two weeks!
