We go here ALL. THE. TIME. It's our go to for every holiday, occasion and just because really. But, today it was such a let down. For whatever reason they only gave me half a donut. LITERALLY. I attached some photos so you'd see. I picked my red velvet donut up and noticed the whole bottom half was ripped off. Also, my son usually gets the Oreo looking one and this time for some odd reason it was super duper tiny and kind of harder then the rest. As if it was an older or left over donut. We love Sugar Shack because of how soft and big and fluffy their donuts are. Also, because of their creative ideas for donuts. But, this time it was just not at that level. I'm super upset that someone inside of Sugar Shack thought it was OK to put a Red Velvet donut that's messed up to this extent in a box and such a tiny and HARD Oreo donut in a box for a PAYING CUSTOMER.

Great little shack with lots to offer. Outside of the amazing strawberry donuts. They have breakfast biscuits and hash browns or other breakfast potato options, as well as burgers. They also have seasonal flavors of donuts. The service was good. If you order the maple bacon donut...I recommend eating it sooner rather than later while the bacon is fresh and crispy. Cheers
Our family has always loved sugar shack but they really blew me away this holiday season. Kids had the opportunity to drop a letter to Santa and receive a free donut which was awesome in itself but then a week before Christmas both of my kids received a letter back from Santas elves on special stationary in a golden envelope. Each letter referenced personal details from my children’s letter to Santa AND most impressively made reference to their siblings by name. The time that must have gone into writing those sweet, personal letters and organizing by family is amazing- not to mention the cost of postage to then send all those responses with a free kids meal and donut. Thank you sugar shack for being such a joyful part of our community!
Sugar Shack makes a really good donut, even if it’s not my favorite compared to other places in RVA, it will always make you happy. Luther Burger might be the best burger in Richmond. They’re not as well known as staples like Carytown Burger, CBB, Burger Bach, etc. but they’ve been getting a lot of positive reviews and for good reason. Definitely worth a try and I hope they continue to grow.
Just dropped by before this second big ice storm and they were closed. An employee still came out and asked what I had been looking for to see if they had any he could give me. I told him, and he not only came out with what I wanted, but more. On top of that they didn’t charge me anything. Always have and always will love this place!
