I have been hunting at Habitat Flats for 3 years now and have increased our group from 4 to 8 hunters since my initial hunt. We hunt the Saskatchewan Geese hunt in September and it is as fun if not more than our hunts in Argentina for Dove and Ducks. We keep the December Duck hunt as our staple annual group hunt at the Sumner lodge. The food is unreal, guides are experienced and not afraid to grind it out if needed, and finally the over all experience is unmatched to date nationwide. Always a joy to have a hunt w Tony and get his guidance on how we can improve our habitats and hunts back in Texas. And finally, we added the infamous Snowgeese hunt in March to our “Habitat Flat” hunts. What a joy that is when it all comes together on certain days. I recommend at least 3 days per visit to be able to hunt different environments and challenges. You cant and wont go wrong with any Habitat Flat Experience. Enjoy and take some good friends. Flooding corn will be the death of duck hunting in the south. Hard to realize I won't get to teach my son how to hunt ducks unless we travel to do so.
I've been to Habitat Flats 6 different years for snow geese. The lodge, food and staff are always top notch. I see some comments regarding certain trips with lack of birds. You can't control Mother Nature. It's an epic hunt regardless. I've killed 250 birds by 10 a.m. and I've had days where I was skunked. It's called hunting, not killing. The blinds and spreads are first class. The food is always great. The guides and dogs are always professional and knowledgeable. I've had great times and memories with my boys and friends at HF and will continue to return.

Tony & the folks at Habitat Flats really give a first class experience. We went teal hunting with them and had an absolute blast - regardless of the fact that the teal hadn't really started moving south yet. The outfitter doesn't control the migration though, and regardless of the fact that we didn't have full limits every day I still walked away incredibly impressed with what Tony & the folks at Habitat Flats have accomplished. From happily accommodating some pretty strict dietary restrictions for one of our buddies without hesitation, to shooting clays, to just great stories around the lodge with great people - We had an absolute blast!
