Some cool rolling stock is kept in here but it is very hard to view. The best way to see it is by drone, or by the train, although you can only see the first row.

The Niles Canyon Railway is a fantastic Short Line Railroad. Not only is it fun to ride, it's fun to follow it along its route on California State Route 84. A couple of places you can take some good pictures of the train. During the month of December they run a Christmas special train. Called the train of Lights. Although it sells out quickly, it is worth the time and effort to go. At some times throughout the year, they also offer steam train rides.

The maintenance and main storage facility for the Niles Canyon Railway, housing a fascinating collection of vintage railroad equipment. This is a working maintenance yard, so don't just drop in. The best way to see everything is to become a member and volunteer. If you love railroads this is a must see.

Priceless collection of historic railroad rolling stock under restoration. Easiest way to see it is from a train departing from Niles or Sunol stations of the Niles Canyon Railway. To visit on the ground, call NCRY.
