Great place to hike to. I go up the trails to hwy 128 5 times for 1,000 ft of climbing.
I carved the trail many years ago to connect some broken paths and provide a walking and bike path on the SW corner of Superior. It took months with a shovel. I named it St. Francis trail after Saint Francis of Assisi the patron saint of animals and nature. Francis is also my middle name;) I am glad to see how many people have enjoyed this over the years!

It's a nice little loop to this high point. Overlooking Superior and looking west towards the Rockies.
