Our children have been at Legacy Surprise since it opened and we have had a wonderful experience! We love the \traditional\ approach to learning and appreciate the challenges our children are given by great teachers. I have only had positive interactions with staff and administration--they really care about my kids. This is a wonderful school!

School is a nightmare. Bullying is allowed, teachers class size are 33 with no help. They can't even quit because they will have to pay 5,000 to do so. They did this because the turnover is so high!! Read reviews from former and current teachers on Indeed and glass door. No creativity allowed. Can't think outside of a box. Mothers day and Christmas gifts are stickers on paper bags, drawings on paper, no originality of any kind. I feel bad for any students who can't show their creative side here. The teachers surely can't. Can't even use the bathroom doing class time one must wait for lunch! Last I checked no child should ever have to \wait\. Staff is bipolar. Nice one day rude the next. Never know what you will get from them. School has 2200 kids and a million houses being built around it! Drive line is a nightmare so if you are in a hurry don't come here. Constant emails begging for money, gift cards and donations for teachers, staff meetings, conferences and whatever else they can come up with. Not a parents job to \feed\ staff or provide high priced gift cards when someone is promoted!! Homework is 4 pages a night. Plan on 1-2 hours. 4 book reports a year regardless of age. Even kindergarten who can't read is required to do them! Then 4 poem recitals a year as well in front of the class where parents are equired\ to be here. My child was stressed out full of anxiety and hates school! No child should ever \hate\ school or think they are \dumb\. Don't bother complaining about teachers. They don't care. Kids that are naughty have their desks facing the wall all day. You want your child to have no self esteem send them to Legacy! They will make sure to make them feel less than!

This school is a joke!! I sincerely regret enrolling my children in this school. I didn't even let them finish the current school year due to my youngest being bullied and the final straw was when some kid decided to tell her she wasn't allowed water due to the fact she's black. After some runaround from management, the principal tells me they are using the situation as a \teachable moment\. Forget you!! Especially when the kid continued to harass her and no one did anything about it! If I could give this school zero stars, I totally would!

It's a good school hands down. A little relaxed on the dress code. But 8th grade students in algebra are most likely to get into geometry or algebra honors next year. The younger grades teach phonograms in order to excel the students in writing and spelling. In 2nd grade they begin writing cursive and use it up until 8th. It's a great skill to have. In conclusion this is a great school. The only complaint is the very low temperatures in the middle school buildings even though the younger grades can have controlled temperature. -Logan
