Dr. Frantz saw me for a CG-719k (coastguard physical) after calling to verify that this office could preform the physical. I made it clear over and over that I need the document filled out in entirety and even had the receptionist write down the name of the form that I need. When I was seen by Dr. Frantz he asked me ten or so questions, had no idea why I was there and then proceeded to check my range of motion in a few of my joints. Then he pretty much said thanks have a nice day. I had to have him come back to the front desk over and over to have him sign the form that I required. In the end he did not do half of what was on the forms and signed them anyway. The entire section VIII Demonstration of Physical Ability was not conducted but was signed (the physical portion of the physical). To make things better I received a bill for an additional 105 after I paid a 45 copay in office. They also billed billed my insurance company 160. This place is exactly what is wrong with the healthcare system. It’s disgusting that they will continue to do business this way and keep getting away with it. I received half hearted service and was billed triple what I was told over the phone prior to my appointment. I called to complain about my bill for the “service” that I received. The receptionist was nice and seemed to want to help. After two weeks of not hearing back I called again and was assured that the matter would be brought up to the billing department. That did happen and I did receive a call from the billing department. The billing department called and explained that “they do these physicals all the time and it’s usually just 145 cash”. Thanks. I thought this was a shady company, now I know. I would never under any circumstances recommended anyone to do business with this company. Just know they only care that you are going to pay to enter their facility.

The type of insurance you have will greatly affect your care here. Even if you are told you need surgery, you may also be told that your reimbursement rates make that \challenging\ by the surgeon. You may then be told to try physical therapy instead, but referred out because guess what? They don't like the reimbursement rates for your insurance for that either.

I experienced good care, but poor customer service. Admins look out for the best interest of the business and not the best interest of the patient. I say this for 2 reasons: 1. They're quick to defer you outside of their practice if you need payment plans. 2. They don't allow for additional consultations in 1 visit. For example, when you visit for a post-op procedure you're instructed not to ask questions that are not related to the reason for your visit. You're told an additional appointment are needed, which will require additional insurance co-payments. From my experience and in my opinion I do not feel this practice looks out for the best interest of the patient, therefore I only leave 1 star.

I have to say my experiences at the Jacksonville clinic has not been good. I work at least 30 minutes from this clinic and most of the time I have to take personal time off for these appointments. Like today's appointment, I left work 3pm, arrived at the clinic at 3:35pm for a 3:40 appointment, I sat in the waiting room until 4pm, at 4pm I got up to ask the front desk what time was my appointment, she said 3:40pm, then all of a sudden I was called, the nurse escorted me to a room the size of a closet, I sat there for another 15 minutes when the nurse popped her head in to tell me the doctor was still in the other room. At that point I got up and walked out. This has happened to me every appointment. I f I new I wasn't going to see the doctor until 4:30 I would not have had to take an hour of personal time off.
