Staff is very kind. The price is very very affordable. However intermediate means just that. We were 4 experienced kayakers, no one made it through bc of how rough it was after a night of rain before. Post rain the river was much too hard to paddle, water is ice cold, and once sucked into the side that is it due to the currents. The forrest surrounding it is filled with brambles, thistle, possible ivy, sink holes. It was an absolute terrifying experience. I got caught on some of the roots from the trees along the river and beat up.

They were absolutely WONDERFUL! We normally use a different rental place in EJ but this is our new place for now on. They are taking ALL the necessary COVID precautions and are THE NICEST people. It’s RIGHT at the beginning of the river so it’s the easiest way for us anyways. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone in the area. THANK YOU SWISS for making it easy and safe for us. Also, they make sure go over any and all safety precautions for newbies. They are the best!
We’ve been going to Swiss Hideaway Canoe Rental since the late 1980s and they’ve always taken great care of our family. Thanks for all the great memories! Fair prices, helpful staff, on-time pickups, and a wide selection make this place the obvious choice.
Absolutely loved this place for kayaking on the Jordan River. They have ride on top and ride in kayaks, and you can rent everything you need, including floatation devices and paddles etc. They were very helpful explaining the river, and what to watch for. (Rain had the river running high.) Even had a photo of Don Knots and his family in the wall from when they visited. Dropped us off and picked us up at areas designated on the river. Go and have fun & be safe!
