My wife's and my favorite place, especially during COVID. Dog friendly, lots of covered outdoor seating, an expansive selection of draft or bottle drinks, and some of the friendliest bar staff! Would definitely recommend.

Great selection of beer, great knowledge of that selection. It has a real "Cheers" vibe. They practically shout your name as you enter. Plus wine on tap. Uh-mazing.
Beer selection is awesome but the customer service/experience is bad! When we walked in, it said to wait for the host.... after 5 minutes of waiting I walked (5 feet) to the bartender that was staring at me the entire time and never said anything. He then decided to tell me there was no host and that I could order from him and sit wherever. It was downhill from there. For takeout beer, that’s over-priced, you can’t go wrong.
It's one of our favorite spots in Tacoma, we always bring our friends here when we can. They have a great selection of draft beer/cans and also some wine and mead. Brandon is an amazon guy and super friendly, always great to talk to. They are also pet friendly ️ so bring your puppies!
One of my wife and I favorite places to go for a casual drink. The wait staff is exceptionally friendly, and they have a wonderful selection of beer and cider on draft. They also consistently have food trucks available, while also providing a plethora of healthy snack options near the bar.
Excellent selection of draft and bottle/can beer, wine, cider, etc. Brandon is very knowledgeable and friendly about the selection, and fun to talk to. Good prices overall, and a great variety! Highly recommended. Some food available (depending on covid protocol), such as hot pretzels, bratwurst, etc, and foot trucks occasionally as well.

Beer star is my go to spot in Tacoma! They always have an amazing selection of beers on tap not to mention the customer service is outstanding. The beertenders are always readily available and it is very obvious you have to go up and order at the counter / clean up after yourself. Brandon has become my favorite local beertender and remembers all of his customers. Everyone is nice, friendly and happy to be there whether they are a worker or a customer. I love that if I don't like any beers on tap (which doesn't happen) they have an abundance of beer options in the fridges. I always recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and easy going night out. Plus if you can snag a spot next to the giant fire pit I highly recommend it!
