Great course just be prepared for 5 plus hour rounds. At one point there were FIVE groups backed up within a one hole range. FIVE. Rangers do not help pace of play. I'm a local and this is not just a one time thing. I wouldn't suggest playing here unless you have plenty of time and are patient.

Very nice golf course offering 2 courses. Make sure to show up early to hit the range with a complementary bag of balls. Talking stick has a great reputation for excellent instructors and on the same property as top golf and the Talking stick Resort. Located off Indian Bend Road and the 101 allows you to enjoy the wild natural desert land. I’ve even seen wild horses while playing.

There was an incredibly long line to check-in. We spent maybe 15 minutes waiting to check-in. Then we try to go the range and it's an enormous range, but it's segmented into thirds and the rightmost third has all the spots occupied. We try to go to the other 2/3rds of the range which is mostly empty but the starter comes up to us and says that since we're playing we need to use the section of the range that is already full. We wait 20 minutes but a spot never opens up and then another starter calls our name and tells us we need to go to the tee even though the group in front of us is still on the tee waiting for the fairway to clear. Once on the course, the pace of play was brutal. We waited on every hole, but that didn't stop the ranger from driving by three or four times to watch us hit as though we were the slow group. We played the O'Odham course and it was by far the worst course we played on this trip. There was no rough to speak of so the fairways fell off into unmaintained desert where there were prairie dog holes all over the place. Worse yet, much of the desert was lined with ropes for no apparent reason that you have to duck under to get to your ball. The course was almost perfectly flat except for the fact that the fairways were slightly elevated above the desert so any ball heading down the edge of fairways would slide off into the prairie dog holes. There were no water hazards or scenery of any sort on this course. Overall, I strongly recommend against playing this course. I might rate it two or three stars if not for the course's ridiculous policy of forcing players to use a tiny section of the range that is full at all times, but as is, I have to rate it 1 star.

Many other courses that I would recommend. Nice course if you're looking for a place to walk. Well maintained, staff was great, however very flat and extremely challenging greens. Beautiful mountain views.

Was a great place to play, staff was all friendly and jolly. The problem came due to a frost delay, which I understand completely. But what I don't understand is when I start at 12:12 and end at 5:30. No rangers or anything to speed up play, even on all the cheap courses I play, most of them have a ranger except Continental. This was the first time I played at this course, was beautiful but definitely not worth 85. Raven has lush fairways and beautiful greens and the fee is only half of what this is. This was my splurge course, my one course that I got to just relax and enjoy myself, instead it took us 30 minutes in between each shot, sometimes we had two foursomes stacked up on the tee box before us meaning there were 12 of us total at the tee box. Not trying to be a whiner or a complainer here, but I got six kids and 80 bucks is a lot of money for me.
