I went here to have a wart removed on my thigh. I saw P.A. Zoe Frances and her nurse helper, Irene. These ladies gave me exceptional care. I loved them. Highly recommended this duo!

I'm glad I found this location and was able to make an appointment without having to wait. Everyone was friendly. Ms. Shamita Patel PA and Ms. Minhdi Van MA assisted me during my visit. Both were incredibly nice and answered all of my questions. My follow up appointment is this week. I'm pleased with the services provided and would definitely visit again and recommend to others. Thumbs up.
BE AWARE - there is a reason their rating is declining. Their providers are directed to perform questionable treatments to increase revenue. Why risk letting them cut unnecessarily on you or your family for more money? I am disappointed I had to write this review and I hope you find it helpful. My family will not be back. During a routine visit, I received a treatment I didn’t want and unexpected charges. I understand medical billing, codes, deductibles, etc. and this was different. The treatment itself from Ms Patel PA went OK, but here is how they get more money from you: The visit was for a spot on my back, which led to a cryo treatment at a nominal, expected charge. After treating my back, the PA said she wanted to treat a mole on my arm. I told her I did NOT want the mole treated. “Academic Alliance has seen that mole at least seven or eight times without a need to test or remove it. It hasn’t changed in decades and I don’t want it treated.” Ms Patel, PA explained, “It is the darkest mole on your body and it would be better if I did.” I noticed she never said it was medically necessary; so, I asked, “Would there be another charge for the mole? Because I know sometimes you include some things under the same treatment.” *** Note: I never asked about my insurance. I asked about the charge. *** She asked her MA to verify and then stated “No. It’s covered.” At the front desk my bill more than doubled because they charged me for the mole I didn’t want scraped, removed, or treated to begin with. Giving them multiple chances to make things right led to the office manager gaslighting and blaming me for letting them perform a procedure I really didn’t want. “You signed a form acknowledging you would pay whatever your insurance didn’t cover. You had a chance to say no to the treatment…” You can see this practice in their responses to other reviews on this site. I hope this helps.
From the moment I entered the door, every staff member I came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and very polite. My visit with Shamita Patel was pleasant, informative, and made me feel completely at ease. She addressed all of my concerns and was very thorough with her examination and explanation. I will definitely continue to come here for all of my dermatological needs. Thank you!
All of the providers are very skilled and excited about taking care of their patients. I have been a patient of three of them so far and have never been disappointed. Also, they do a wonderful job with the cosmetic side of things. I get Botox regularly, and it sets perfectly each time. I do not look frozen or fake. I recently decided to get lip filler and it turned out wonderfully. All the injectors want you to look your best and would not do anything that would make you look unnatural. My lips are perfect thanks to Heather!! Heather and Semhar have both done an excellent job with my Botox, too. Love you, AAD!
Patel is absolutely incredible. I was very nervous about my appointment, and she immediately made me feel at ease with her professionalism and kindness. She also made sure to address all concerns I had, even ones that I didn't realize she was able to fix. The problems are now pretty much completely gone two weeks later thanks to her expertise. So glad I chose the location closest to work instead of home because I cannot imagine a better experience
5 months of trying to get treated just walked into and emergency room in st. Pete and receive instructions on a treatment by showing one video. Not one statement or insult about my mental health. Not a need to have 5 or six doctors. a straight forward pee test and blood test. Even though they never said what was wrong with me. I dont care as long as I’m treated. Albendazole is what I think I was perscribed. 5 months of going to several doctor including this company for this simple treatment. I was treated like a decent human being at this hospital. I would never you go to this dermatologist again. After being told I need to go see a physiatrist on the first visit. I knew my issue would not be looked at seriously.
Although my experience with Ms Patel PA and the MA during my appointment was exemplary, dealing with staff afterward was very unprofessional. I was notified by a woman who did not even state her name or medical position at the office that I had atypical cells... she then used the words melanoma and further biopsy by the physician that requires sutures. After speaking to my primary care I called the office again to speak to Ms Patel PA as I had questions and thought if my condition warranted a biopsy by the MD a health care profession should be calling me. I received a call back from an MA who did not say who she was and if I didn’t ask her I may have thought she was Ms Patel. This woman assured me Ms Patel PA would call later when she had a chance. With the hour I received another call from the office informing me Ms Patel would not be calling me back and that she runs the pathology department. I inquired about her medical background and she is the woman who schedules appointments. Not a nurse, a pathologist or even and MA. She stated that if I wish to speak to a Heath Care provider I would need to make an appointment. However she cannot book me for a Telavisit as it’s a pandemic! Completely shut down by this bully of a woman I am left to obtain my medical records and move on. In my opinion, which I AM a health care provider, a Registered Nurse with 30 years of experience, this place is out to make money by over completing biopsies that are not needed. If I was at any risk of melanoma a health cate provider would take the time to call me.
