You would have no idea you were eating vegan if the word wasn’t in their logo. Excellent meal. It is a rare thing to order take out and open boxes to such perfect presentations. The flavors were standout memorable. Smoke, lemon, ginger...all fresh. The ingredients that needed to be crisp were audibly so. The spices were bold but individually identifiable, which is so hard to do. I don’t know how they work this magic with vegetables, fruits, nuts and grains but it is seriously impressive.
MUST GO! If there is a wait, WAIT! If reservations are booked for weeks, then take whatever reservation they have available, when it's available. I love that is so good, it "can't be vegan!" Tane embodies that ideology. A vegan twist on your all time favorite classics. Such as the Philadelphia roll! The specialty rolls are vast, and extraordinary in the best way! Treat yourself to this gem.
Incredibly delicious sushi (vegan or not) and breathtakingly beautiful. If you eat with your eyes first, you will be doubly satisfied. They even make their take out boxes gorgeous! That’s the extra mile that really sets them apart. The customer service is equally exceptional. I had the wrong roll and they more than made up for it. I love this place! Also the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date or a special occasion (even if that occasion is merely eating the most amazing vegan sushi! )
Love the dedicated vegan offerings! We need more eateries like this on Oahu! And right next door is a Pizza joint best of both worlds
So many flavors! Each dish is delightful in its own way. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy this restaurant! It's amazing! My new go to :)
This is the best vegan restaurant for dinner in Honolulu if not all of Hawaii. Anyone including omnivores who like izakaya/Japanese fare will like Tane's deliciously inventive and deeply satisfying dishes. I'm picky when it comes to ramen and took a risk on theirs but wow was I glad I did because it scratched that itch with satiating broth and some smoked tofu(?) that resembled sliced pork belly. Brilliant. Everything here is excellent including the service, you can't go wrong - I highly recommend them.
Wow, what can I say. Each of the roles that we tried, and there were six different ones at our table, was as good as the best sushi. The service was attentive and friendly. Would love to go there again. Now I understand why there are always lines outside.
